Program Objectives
Digital transformation, new technologies, and internet businesses are thriving in China. To stay ahead of the curve, a group of 13 apprentices accompanied by their teacher had the chance to work on a project with the local entrepreneur community.
It was a pleasure to see the Berufsbildungsschule Winterthur students coming together as a team of professional freelancers and tackling the complex issue they received from their project instructors.
Program Highlights
Our apprentices formed groups to work on specific projects with local IT professionals, attend language lessons and cultural activities along with company visits and professional workshops.
Projects ranged from VR, Blockchain, Gamification, Website Development, and WeChat mini programs to IOT and Data Management, giving the apprentices a large choice of new skills to learn.
We also had the chance to visit the Deputy General Consul's house and other professional events allowing our participants to grow their personal network on an international level.
Program Financing
As an innovative programme, the apprentices were able to benefit from the financial support of a Swiss foundation making this opportunity more accessible.
The remaining part of the budget was either paid by the training companies or by the young professionals.
