Aware of the difficulty for confined young people to travel to China in the current context, the projects proposed by the ICL Cup 2022 and its partners will be a mix of digital and physical encounters, allowing participants to gain experience while adapting to the current context.
The apprentices and students selected for this program will form multidisciplinary teams and work together to carry out a project related to a company based in China.
The experience, which will take place online and offline, will allow them to improve their skills and team project management, enhance their CV, and maybe win the 1'000 CHF offered by skilltrip.com.
They will also be able to discover China, its culture, and its professional world, through Mandarin classes, workshops and, meetings with key institutions and people involved in Sino-Swiss relations.
By the 15th of December 2022 , each team will have to produce a video and present their project.

Discover what our participants experienced in 2020
Twenty participants were selected on the basis of their profile and motivation letter and five multidisciplinary teams were created to work on concrete projects for organizations and companies based in China.
In addition to two hours of Mandarin lessons and one professional or cultural activity per week, our candidates had to work with their team, their ICL mentor, and their companies to provide answers to a problem, analyze current situations in China or create documents useful to the company they worked for.

The Goal of the initiative
The first and second virtual editions of the ICL Cup are a response to the current COVID-19 outbreak. As travel to China might still not be possible this summer we have decided to bring the experience online for the scond time.
This opportunity will help you strengthen your digital skills and your teamwork capabilities, to be better prepared for the professional world.
