Program Objectives

Fintech is one of the most interesting topics for Swiss companies to discover in China. Credit Suisse has decided to send four IT apprentices to work on a project with one of Asia's leading Fintech companies.

Our students had to think outside of the box on topics such as international legislation, privacy concerns, and technology adoption rates in Asia and in Europe.

This project allowed them to gain insight into how Chinese companies are working, to gain maturity, and to learn about new technologies.

Program Highlights

Our apprentices formed a small group and worked in close relationship with their local host. They were tasked by one of Asia's leading financial technology company to analyze the company's current service offering and to prototype an application which would be suitable for the European market.

The apprentices also had to present a business plan supporting their application proposal and suggestions as to how to implement the business model.

Coming from Credit Suisse to Shanghai, these apprentices were able to dive into a fast-paced environment and test their skills and team spirit in a completely new and challenging setting.
